We are 20 mins from Turangi, along SH41 – the road from Turangi to Taumarunui. Travel from Turangi, through Tokaanu, then up the Waihi Hill. 3km from the top on the Waihi Hill is the Omori Road turn off, which leads you down through the Omori Village and on to Kuratau. We can assure you, the first glimpse of Lake Taupo as you travel down Omori Road, is one you will never forget!
We are 1 hour from Taupo Airport, 1 hr from National Park Train Station, or 4hrs driving from either Auckland in the north or Wellington in the south. From Napier in the east we are 2.5hrs and from New Plymouth in the West 3.5hrs. We are where North meets South and East meets West, in the middle of the Central Volcanic Plateau.
